Focus and Scope

Jurnal Satwa Sehat Indonesia (JSSI) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in animal and veterinary sciences. JSSI focuses on anatomical pathology, forensic veterinary medicine, veterinary public health, and animal disaster management. The journal considers original research articles, case reports, and systematic reviews covering companion animals, food animals, wildlife, aquatic animals, and laboratory animals. Studies employing biomolecular, epidemiological, and One Health approaches are especially welcomed.

JSSI is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or registration barriers. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Publication History

Jurnal Satwa Sehat Indonesia (JSSI) was established in 2025 by Satwa Sehat Indonesia as a platform for disseminating high-quality research in animal and veterinary sciences in Indonesia and internationally.


Sponsorship Statement

JSSI does not receive external sponsorship or funding from any commercial entity. The journal is independently published by Satwa Sehat Indonesia. All editorial decisions are made solely based on academic merit and are free from any commercial influence.

Digital Archiving

JSSI is committed to the long-term preservation of its content. This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create distributed archiving among participating libraries, allowing those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. JSSI also participates in the CLOCKSS archiving system to ensure the availability of published content in the event the journal ceases publication.
